my journey

It took me several years to call myself an artist. I slowly started telling people that I was an art student when I was still taking classes in city college.

After many adventures, now I can face my fears and state that I make Art. I feel Art. I breath Art.

It is the only way I can really express myself. It might not be a gift, but a tool, a necessity; a requisite to my existence.

my media

Oil painting is my favorite medium. I was so scared when I started dropping oils on a canvas but, in the end, it came pretty natural. The same with watercolors, maybe because of my love for slow messy media.

I practice a lot with pastels because it is to me the most challenging of all. Although it is messy and I like its nature, this media is unforgivable and one has to plan very well. For my figure drawing sketches, pastel will always take me to another level.

Finally, I am being able to extensively experiment with acrylics and its fast drying possibilities are opening my mind as I had always preferred the slow dry process.
